New Access Gates from A-Safe and Advanced Handling and Storage ltd are pleased to be able to offer as part of their safety range compatible access gates that will integrate with their range of A-safe safety barriers. The Access gates can be purchased in two variations one being a swing gate and the other being a slide gate.
Swing access gates are mainly used in conjunction pedestrian barriers but are compatible with almost all barrier systems simply by integrating an interface post. Access gates can also be used as a stand alone gate. The access gates are ideal for pedestrian access and are available in a safety green colour as well as the standard yellow. The Swing access gates are double swing action but stops can be added to ensure that the access gate will only swing one way. The standard sizes are 1000mm, 1500mm and 2000mm although any size is available up to 2000mm. They can be installed in pairs to give openings to a maximum of 4000mm.
Swing Gates are used for access points and exit points for pedestrians. They act as a physical stop so the pedestrian has to open the access gate instead of walking straight through a gap in the barrier. The safety green access gates are designed to indicate points for fire exits, fire or safety equipment or medical assistance. The green access gate can easily be seen especially when incorporated into a long run of yellow barrier. The access gate stops allow you to limit the swing action to one direction, so for example a pedestrian must pull the gate towards him. Advanced handling can also supply bolts that can be used to secure the swing access gates in and open or closed position. Gate locks are also available from Advanced Handling.
Slide access gates are also mainly used alongside pedestrian barriers but again are compatible with most A-safe safety barrier systems by using an interface post. Slide access gates can also be used as a stand alone gate. This type of access gate are ideal for light vehicle to pass through. The standard size of the slide access gate are 1000mm, 1500mm and 2000mm although any size is available up to 2000mm. Advanced Handling and Storage can install the access in pairs to give openings to a maximum of 4000mm should this be required.
Slide gates are robust access gates ideal for vehicle coming in to and exiting areas. They are a lot more robust than swing gates. These access gates require room for approximately double the gap entry so the gate can slide back into its self. Advanced Handling and Storage can supply bolts to secure gates in and open or closed position. Gate locks are also available.
